iBANK LAUNCHES LOAN MATCHING TOOL

COSTA MESA, CALIF. (Nov. 16, 2005) - iBank, an online broker of commercial loans and mortgages, is now positioning itself as the LendingTree for small business loans, in a bid to help banks lower their marketing costs. In addition, iBank wants to increase traffic and sales on its web site.

On Nov. 1, the company, a unit of Credentrust Software, launched a search engine that matches small businesses seeking various forms of capital with financial institutions.

By asking the small business to enter four search criteria and using a web "crawler" to cull information from banks' web sites, iBank proposes to help small businesses find the right lender faster.

"Small business lenders want to target their advertising dollars to their portfolio needs," said Thomas Markel, iBank's chairman and chief executive. "A lot of lenders have [stopped advertising on the large search engines] because they had to go through hundreds of applications before they could find a deal they could fund."

At www.ibank.com, small business owners enter the loan category, loan type, the amount of money needed, and the state in which they are located, Markel said. The search engine returns a list of lenders ranked by how well their products match the criteria.

In a test performed by Small Business Banking News on the day of the service's launch, a search for a $250,000 loan to buy a business in Hawaii returned 141 web pages, about 90% of which were legitimate banking sources.

However, some of the results the search engine returned were unrelated to banking, including a page from FindLaw that addressed legal resources for people suffering from mesothelioma or other asbestos-related injuries.

Markel was unable to explain why such pages appeared. "I hope that's a rare occurrence," he said. "They must have escaped our filters."

Banks can appear more prominently on the iBank results' list by paying to take part in a Classified Campaign. Paid listings, however, appear separately from other search results, Markel said.

Paid listings will suit lenders that do not want to alter their web pages - adding information such as the loan amounts available for a specific loan type - to suit iBank's search algorithm, or for banks that want to appear on the first page of the results listing, albeit in the classified section, Markel said.

Classified listings are priced on a perclick basis, with the cost varying in proportion to the position requested, Markel said.

Banks can also choose to become an iBank Premier Campaign Lender, a service that requires the small business to input answers to as many as 16 prequalification questions. Leads that match the lender's target customer are delivered to the bank each day. Premier lenders pay $199 for training, $30 a month for system access, and a fee for each qualified lead.

iBank has about 240 lenders in its commercial lending network, which also allows small businesses to prepare loan packages online. About 60,000 small businesses a month visit iBank.com, Markel said. -V.R.

iBANK.COM LAUNCHES COMMERCIAL LENDING SEARCH ENGINE THAT LOWERS LENDER CUSTOMER ACQUISITION COSTS

www.ibank.com has engineered new filtering technology that matches lenders with small businesses seeking business loans, equipment leasing and commercial and home equity mortgage loans.

COSTA MESA, CALIF. (Nov. 8, 2005) – www.ibank.com, America's largest online small business lending network, has announced the creation of a commercial lending search engine, which allows small businesses to find lenders based on four search criteria. The criteria act as a filter which allows lenders to target their marketing dollars only to those small businesses seeking their products.

Through the small business lending engine, lenders can target multiple campaigns specifically to small businesses seeking business loans, equipment leasing and commercial and home equity mortgage loans. Only small businesses seeking their loan products will see the listings. This results in lenders experiencing a lower cost per new customer acquisition of any advertising medium in the nation, by eliminating costly clicks from unqualified borrowers.

“Unlike other major search engines, our commercial lending search engine is about connecting the small business person with real lenders, with real money, in real time,” said Thomas O. Markel, Chairman and CEO of Credentrust Software, Inc. the company that powers www.ibank.com . “In an efficient market, banks, credit unions, brokers and private investors can get hundreds of leads daily of small businesses that match their lending criteria. The more targeted their search campaign, the more loans they close, the higher they rank – everybody wins. It’s that simple.”

The new commercial lending search allows small businesses to search up to 85 different types of small business loans, equipment leasing, and commercial and home mortgage loan. Lenders can reach these small businesses in three ways:

• The organic lender list is comprised of information taken online from lender websites by the www.ibank.com web crawler. Lenders wishing to rank higher on the organic list can sign up for free on the www.ibank.com database.

• The Classified Campaign Lender list consists of lenders who pay for placement in the classified section of the search engine.

• The Premier Campaign Lender consists of lenders who have taken a more proactive approach by registering with www.ibank.com and creating targeted campaigns which deliver hot prospects directly to their computers each day. Premier Campaign Lenders can specifically target small businesses borrowers by designating up to 16 prequalification questions, including loan size, loan amount, credit score, years in business, loan to value, location, industry, loan or lease type.

Since its inception in 1999, www.iBank.com has revolutionized the commercial lending marketplace and consistently provided lenders and borrowers with a simplified, streamlined and seamless ways to do business with small business online. The website has processed more than $7 billion in aggregate loans each month, receiving approximately 6000 loan requests a month. The website has attracted some of the nation’s largest banks as well as community banks, private investors, brokers and credit unions. For a complete list of lending institutions, please visit http://www.ibank.com/lenders/lender_Network.cfm?pbonav=lenders.

www.iBank.com’s proprietary technology allows borrowers to create a professional loan/lease package online. Once the borrower finishes the application, www.iBank.com matches the borrower’s information to the loan criteria of lenders within its network and sends the borrower’s information only to those lenders whose criteria match those found in the application. The applicant’s information, along with other pertinent documents, such as business plans and projections, are then transferred directly into the lenders systems, allowing for faster analysis and processing of applications.

Lenders wishing to take a free, no-obligation tour of the system can visit http://www.ibank.com/lenders/lender_Home.cfm?pbonav=lenders.

iBANK.COM EMPOWERS SMALL BUSINESS TO BE PROACTIVE, CONNECT WITH THE RIGHT LENDERS THROUGH NEW COMMERCIAL LENDING SEARCH ENGINE

www.iBank.com enhances its search technology to allow small businesses to connect directly with lenders nationwide who offer business loans, equipment leasing and commercial and home equity mortgage loans.

COSTA MESA, CALIF. (Nov. 1, 2005) - www.iBank.com, America's largest online commercial lending network, has announced it will launch a new commercial lending search engine on Nov. 2, which allows small businesses to target lenders based on four search criteria. The criteria (loan category, amount, location and type) act as a filter which allows the small business to refine its search and target only those lenders who offer the loan product it is seeking.

"Unlike other major search engines, our commercial lending search engine is about connecting the small business person with real lenders with real money, in real time," said Thomas O. Markel, Chairman and CEO of Credentrust Software, Inc. the company that powers www.iBank.com. "There is no doubt that the entire loan process with a bank can be costly and intimidating at the least. Our commercial search engine eliminates the fear factor, empowers small business and improves market knowledge."

Through www.iBank.com proprietary technology, businesses can search up to 85 different types of small business loans, equipment leasing and commercial and home mortgage loans. Small businesses can target nationwide lenders using 16 pre-qualification criteria, including loan size, loan amount, credit score, years in business, loan to value, location, industry, and loan or lease type. Once the lenders are identified, businesses can take a proactive approach and contact the lenders directly or proceed to create a professional loan package online using a step-by-step self-guided process. This information is stored in a secure "vault" which the applicant can access at anytime, anywhere in order to edit, organize, or store tax returns, financials, management bios, pictures etc.

Once the application package is complete, www.iBank.com automatically places the applicants' information onto the specific lenders' application and sends it electronically to lenders that have loans/mortgage programs that match their criteria. The lenders receive the applications directly into their systems, while the applicants receive faster analysis and processing of their applications.

The whole process, when compared to manually finding the right lenders and preparing separate loan packages, eliminates about two-thirds of the time and cuts 90% of the cost involved. The www.iBank.com loan package preparation and lender presentment process is completely paperless and allows lenders and applicants to collaborate in real-time in order to view, analyze, propose and close their loans.

According to Chuck Fuller, vice president of business development at Entrepreneur Magazine, www.iBank.com offers something no one lender does -- variety. http://www.iBank.com provides a valuable service which allows entrepreneurs to rapidly access lenders and find opportunities from a variety of lenders," Fuller said. "From what I can tell from this service, it's got some legs. But what really sets www.iBank.com apart from other services is that it doesn't specialize in any one loan type, but has the ability to process a variety of funding needs to a nationwide of lenders."

Since its inception in 1999,www.iBank.com has revolutionized the commercial lending marketplace and consistently provided lenders and borrowers with a simplified, streamlined and seamless ways to do business online. www.iBank.com has processed more than $7 billion in aggregate loans each month, receiving approximately 6000 loan requests a month - yet that only represents 10 percent of the numbers of visitors that come to the website on a daily basis, according to Markel. The new search engine is geared toward the other 54,000 small business visitors who want to take a more active approach and contact the lenders directly in order to ensure they receive they right loan on terms they are comfortable with.

COSTA MESA, Calif.-05 July 2005-Tired of pounding the pavement looking for a bank loan? For a small fee, maybe you can tap your keyboard instead. Business loan applicants can create a loan package, connect to 225-plus lenders nationwide, and close a loan by filling out only one application at iBank.com, explains Tom Markel, president and CEO of Credentrust Software, the Irvine, California, company that created and owns iBank.com. "The average business," he notes, "fills out four separate applications before getting accepted by a lender."

Coupling loan package-builder software with a nationwide database of lenders ranging from community banks to large institutions, iBank.com identifies appropriate potential lenders based on pre-qualification criteria such as the loan size and the applicant's credit score, location and industry. Applicants then create a single loan package, which is sent electronically to lenders with matching loan criteria.

Fees for the service are in addition to the bank's application charges and range from $49.95 for loans up to $100,000 to $299.95 for loans of $10 million or more. Many feel the cost is worth the time saved and the increased likelihood of securing a loan, says Markel, who reports that "some 60 percent of businesses get turned down because of poor documentation."

Once complete, the application is sent electronically to applicable lenders, which include banks, Wall Street firms, insurance and finance companies, as well as other financial institutions and private investors.

"We were looking for someone who had state-of-the-art web-based commercial loan origination technology and we certainly found that in Credentrust," said Don Martin, GEL's CEO. "This is just the beginning of how potent and revolutionary this commercial service will become."

Recently, there has been growing evidence of mortgage companies wishing to enter into commercial lending in order to augment their services and set them apart in a competitive market, said Thomas O. Markel, president and CEO of Credentrust.

"This desire to enter into the commercial market has been marred by the lack of a standardized application form - much like the 1003 form used in residential lending," said Markel. "The lack of a standardized form allows for each lending institution to create its own application and criteria, making applying for a loan a daunting task."

Through Credentrust's Finance Center, this task is simplified using only one universal application. Once complete, the Finance Center technology then automatically places applicants information onto the specific lenders application and sends it electronically to lenders that have loans programs with matching criteria. The lenders receive the applications directly into their systems, while the applicants receive faster analysis and processing. Furthermore, the information is then stored in a secure "vault" which the applicant can access at anytime, anywhere in order to edit, organize, or create another loan package.

Markel said that Credentrust's Finance Center offers mortgage brokers increased opportunities, including greater revenues, expanded services and increased customer loyalty. The technology can also increase referrals and prospects. However, the cost for the technology only costs the broker less than $350.

"The commercial loan market for small and mid-sized companies - comprising business loans, commercial real estate loans and equipment leases - is very large, by any measure. On average, a privately held business is in the market for a loan four times per year," Markel said. "Our Finance Center allows the residential broker to transition into the commercial marketplace and tap into this market."
